How to get your license?
Because you deserve the best driving education, our instructors present the road safety training program to individuals aged 16 and older. This course consists of 24 hours of classroom theory and 15 hours of on-road practice, totaling 39 hours. The content is taught in 4 phases.
For obtaining the learner's permit
5 theoretical courses of 2 hours each, for a total duration of 10 hours. A minimum period of one month, followed by a test.

You can start the theory course a few weeks before your 16th birthday. As soon as you turn 16, with your Module 5 exam passed and your certificate in hand, you can go to the SAAQ to obtain your learner's permit.
We allow you to pay everything in 4 or 6 installments, within a year.
The duration of a contract with Carthage Driving School is 18 months. If you have not completed your driving lessons by the end of the contract, the school can extend it, subject to certain conditions.
You can request a certificate from the other school for courses you've already completed and then register at Carthage with the certificate. The certificate and any courses you've already completed elsewhere will be taken into account.
If your driver's license is valid and allows it, you can drive a car (Class 5) for the first 90 days following your arrival in Quebec as a new resident. After this period, you must have a Quebec driver's license.
